Henley Golf Club
Henley Golf Club is situated in Harpsden, Henley-on-Thames with expansive views of the Chiltem Hills. The golf club was founded in 1907 and is widely acknowledged as one of the best in the county.
The club is a traditional members club with outstanding natural beauty and panoramic views of the countryside. The club offers a natural well-drained golf course and four different practice areas to make the golfing experience memorable each time.
The Golf Course(s)
Henley golf course is a 6,064 yard, 18 hole, par 70 parkland course designed by the five times Open Champion, James Braid. It has been built on chalk which makes it well-drained and the course has a full irrigation system that covers the tees, fairways and greens.
The golf course offers expansive views all around and is covered with mature trees, tricky bunkers and other strategic hazards to make the play interesting and challenging for the thinking golfer.
The golf club is situated near both Berkshire and Buckinghamshire borders, making all three counties visible from the course.
The opening first holes are some of the most challenging in the area and become all the more difficult with the prevailing wind. The rest of the holes are just as strategically placed to make game play interesting all the way through. Needless to say, if you are a golfer who likes to be challenged, then this golf course is definitely worth experience.
