Terms of Reference for OLCGA Knock Outs 2025

President’s, Captain’s and Ann Starkey Inter-Club Trophies

  • Entry is made by Club via the Club Delegate using Golf Genius before 1 November for the following year.
  • Format is Foursomes Match-play knock-out played off scratch.
  • Competition is for teams of six Full or Associated Members of Oxon affiliated Clubs.
    • Handicap Index for President’s Trophy is scratch upwards
    • Handicap Index for Captain’s Trophy is 12.5 upwards
    • Handicap Index for the Ann Starkey is 20.5 upwards

N.B. Handicap Index of players must be correct 7 days before each match.

  • A draw will be made after the closing date of entries. The draw be seeded based on the previous year’s results
  • It is the equal responsibility of both Clubs to arrange their matches by the due date. The Club playing at home must offer at least three dates, to cover both weekend and weekday dates with no more than two dates in the same seven-day period. Bank holidays count as weekend dates.  Every effort should be made to accommodate play, including evening matches if working ladies are unavailable during the daytime.
  • The venue for each round will be decided by the draw. Top named club will play at home
  • The winning club is responsible for promptly entering the result into Golf Genius. A GGID code will be sent to club representatives at the beginning of each Round to use to log into the results page using the golf genius app.
  • If a player is a member of two Oxfordshire Clubs, she may represent her ‘Home’ Club only.
  • All individual matches must be played to a conclusion (i.e., no halved matches).
  • The semi-final and final are played on a specified date at a venue arranged by the County. We will book 3 courses & dates in advance and determine once the qualifying Clubs are known where each will be played. It is the hope that every Club will play on a neutral course.
  • Squads for the semi-final and final may consist of a maximum of 8 players.
  • The winning team will be presented with the relevant Trophy on the day.
  • If players wish to use buggies, then they must arrange the rental with the host club. This also applies to the finals.
