Individual match-play knockout with handicap. Qualifying club competition followed by inter-club knockout rounds.

Woodburn-Bamberger Cup Terms of Reference
● Handicap, match-play, knock-out for all Full or Associated Members of Oxon affiliated Clubs who have qualified through competitions within their own clubs.
● Each Club to run its own competition to determine qualifier(s) – to be completed by 30 April. In extreme circumstances this date can be changed by the County Competition Secretary.
● An entry fee of £3 per player should be collected by the Club Delegate and payment for the total number of entries be sent to the County Treasurer by 1 April.
● Qualifiers will be 1 person for up to 10 entrants, 2 people for 11-19 entrants, 3 people where there, are between 20 and 39 entries and 4 people for 40 and above entries. Club Delegates should check that winners are willing to be nominated before submitting their details.
● First round matches in the inter-club phase must be completed in accordance with the draw. Only in extreme circumstances will this end date change. The ‘by date’ means the round must be compete the day before.
● Handicap allowance is full difference of the course handicap.
● If a player is a member of two Oxfordshire Clubs, she may represent her ‘Home’ Club only.
● Players qualifying at Club level must be a playing member of the Club she is representing for the whole of the competition.
● The top-named player of each pair plays on her own course (Home) and must promptly offer three dates to her opponent, one of which must be a weekend and one a weekday. If the initial dates are unsuitable then both players are expected to make allowances and make every effort to agree a convenient date.
● The winning player is responsible for promptly notifying the County Assistant Competition Secretary of the result by e-mail.
● There will be a re-draw after the quarterfinals.
● During the inter-club phase, players are equally responsible for any green fees that may be payable in respect of the visiting player.
● The Final will be played on a neutral course, to be arranged by the County Assistant Competition Secretary in consultation with the finalists and on a mutually agreed date, normally in early October. There will be no green fees payable by the players.
● The winning finalist will receive the Bamberger Cup which will be presented at the County AGM or other presentation ceremony.
● Prizes will be awarded to the losing finalist and semi-finalists.
