County Shield 2024 - Tadmarton Heath winners right at home

The annual County Shield competition was held at Tadmarton Heath Golf Club on Monday 24th June. The glory of a beautiful warm sunny day was matched by the stunning view from the terrace out over the 7th green and the rolling Oxfordshire countryside beyond.

15 pairs representing 10 different clubs played 27 holes of foursomes golf over a challenging course. Position was everything, and local knowledge clearly came in handy for the winning pair.

Claire Mottershead and Kim Woodlock from Tadmarton Heath won on countback on the back 6 of the afternoon 9 – so very close indeed! Their winning score of 53 was matched by Ruth Mackay and Susie Hogben (Drayton Park), and the third placed pair were juniors Alexandra and Isabelle, also from Drayton Park (50 points).
