Oakland Park looked splendid in the sunlight, not a rain cloud to be seen - thank goodness! However, even with the glorious weather the course was a challenge to play. The County Girls all played well, with lots of team camaraderie, celebrating all the highs and supporting the lows. It was wonderful to see.

Now to the results - it was a nail-biting finish waiting for the final scores, but Oxfordshire was pipped to the winning spot by 7 points, by Berkshire. In the Individual prizes, Julia Bauder came 1st with an incredible 42 points and Charlotte Gosling-Evans 2nd with 36 points.

Of the individual winner, Julia's father Brian said "I think Julia was in shock and this really helped boost her confidence. She has worked so hard in the off season and it’s great to see everything pay off. She credits the score to the nice weather! It was a lovely day, but she struck the ball very well and it was great to see her come home with smiles and call her grandparents about her win. Proud dad too!!!"
