North Oxford triumph at Spring 3-ball Alliance at Bicester

On Wednesday 8th May 2024, Bicester Golf Club hosted the OLCGA's Spring 3 Ball Alliance. 24 ladies enjoyed the opportunity to try Bicester’s newly revamped 9 hole course and realised it is not so easy to go round twice! 

The winning team of Maureen Rhymes, Lorraine Watkins and Susan White (North Oxford, above) scored 74 points in the stableford, 2-to-count format. Second place went to Claire Mottershead, Kim Woodlock and Sally Gordon-Stewart (Tadmarton Heath, below) with 71 points.

The course was in fantastic condition, and players were greeted with beautiful sunshine. Bicester Ladies made great efforts to welcome everyone, including a halfway house with cold drinks. The day also raised £54 on the ball sweep which goes to the Cancer Now charity for Bicester's captain's charity. The balls were very generously donated by the Club Professional.
