The temperature was high but a welcome breeze provided the semi-finalists a little respite as they played their matches. After some competitive golf, wins for Hadden Hill and Oxford Ladies saw them through to the afternoon’s final.

The afternoon session saw the matches evenly poised after nine holes, with honours even between the two clubs. The closing stages then saw a surge from the Oxford Ladies who ran out as eventual winners.

North Oxford GC provided us with an excellent venue to host the final stages of this competition and the players were very complimentary about the course. Our thanks to Philip and all the staff who afforded us such a warm welcome and great hospitality.
