2nd Team Match report

The weather was very kind to us and Huntercombe was in immaculate condition for our first 2nd Team Match against Buckinghamshire.

We had a great team of Karen Pollard, Jess Otto, Victoria Hart, Morag Broome, Jules Tarr, Tracy Roberts & Maggie Findlay.

Bucks fielded strong foursome’s pairings and although a couple of the matches were close they didn’t go Oxfordshire’s way and we ended up 3-0 down after the mornings matches.

Bucks brought in 2 very good juniors for the afternoon singles and again Oxfordshire ladies put up a great fight with wins from Jess and Maggie.

Jules battled valiantly against the rising junior star from Bucks, Rosie Kim, to lose on 18, and Tracy Roberts playing in her first 2nd team match fought back against another good junior, Olivia Lee but just couldn’t hold her.

Final score 7 – 2 to Buckinghamshire.

Our next match against Berkshire is on Saturday 12th May at Temple G.C.
