Oxon County Junior Girls win second trophy in a week!

After beating both Berkshire and Buckinghamshire earlier in the summer, the Oxon Girls won the right to represent the ‘south’ of the Midland South Region in the Handicap final, which was held this year at Flackwell Heath Golf Club on 27th August. The format was a team of 5 girls, each with handicaps of 10 and over, playing individual matchplay against 5 girls from Warwickshire (who had become the ‘north’ champions by beating Warwickshire and Worcester & Herefordshire).

Unlike the previous week at Goring & Streatley, the weather was dry and warm, and this made the standard of golf even better, with the Oxon Girls achieving a comprehensive win over the opposition 4-1. FANTASTIC!
