3 Ball Alliance

Bronze Championship

Well done to all competitors who endured the terrible weather conditions on Wednesday and those conditions turned out to be the cause of the closure of the course. 3 Ball Alliance - Monday 14th September

Following on from my last message we are now back on our lovely courses, albeit social golf with restrictions, but I am sure you will all agree we do not mind, better than no golf!It is still difficult to predict ahead and because of that we have sadly taken the decision to cancel the County Shield on July 16 at Huntercombe. Message from your President Sadly all county fixtures have been cancelled until the end of June due to the Coronavirus, this includes all knockout competitions. I informed all delegates this week to communicate this with club members, we certainly are in unprecedented times and will keep you informed as and when. Meanwhile all keep safe and hopefully we can keep playing, albeit car park to course golf.

Bamberger Knockout Final

The Bamberger final was played at the Cotswolds Club in torrential rain. The finalists were Christine Bishop (Bicester) and Muriel Williams (Tadmarton). The course was in immaculate condition and held up so well considering the rain, with good golf played by both. It was nip and tuck all the way, Christine going 1up on 17 to emerge the winner 2up.
