Congratulations to Grace Beardsley who won our Summer Meeting which was held at Drayton Park Golf Club on Monday 1st August.Drayton Park provided plenty of challenges with water, trees and long grass but this did not phase Grace who scored a handicap reducing 38 points, a very impressive score when you add in  the oppressive, muggy heat on Monday. Lara was second, followed closely by Freya, Bethany and Ava who was playing in her first 18 hole competition for the county.Congratulation...

Congratulations to Sienna Fegan-Smith who became our 2022 Pre-Handicap Champion and won the Junior Captain's Trophy on Sunday.This was a very close event with the winning score being decided on countback between 3 players and a difference of only 2 shots between all the girls. Well done to all the girls - they each played some wonderful golf shots on the Blenheim Course at Kirtlington Golf Club. Our thanks to Kirtlington and to all the adult helpers - we could not run these events without you!

We were delighted  to host our Junior Girls’ Championship at Oxford Golf Club with a small group of just 8 girls this year.  The afternoon began rather dubiously with showers but fortunately it was not long before the sun shone. The course was challenging with quick greens testing the putting; nevertheless some wonderful golf shots were played by all girls! Congratulations to Elizabeth Ball who won our first competition of the year, the Spring Meeting at North Oxford Golf Club, with a score of 38 points. Oxfordshire Junior Girls had a very successful day at Burford Golf Club competing for the three Nicola Sparks' Memorial Trophies. This event is held annually and is a highlight of the year. Amelia Seal from Shrivenham Park won the 18 hole stableford with 38 points. Oxfordshire Girls travelled to Bristol on Sunday to play the annual friendly singles match against Gloucestershire Girls. A sunny and bright day dawned but a brisk wind made for tricky conditions - though the Oxfordshire team coped well and completed an emphatic 6 - 1 victory! The sun shone for the junior girls on Sunday when we held the Ox Calf and Teddy Trophies on the Blenheim Course at Kirtlington and yet again witnessed some wonderful golf from our pre-handicap players.
